The festival is held every third Saturday in September over a six-block area of downtown Hillsboro, Kansas. Located on the edge of the Flint Hills just 30 minutes from Newton and McPherson, and 50 minutes north of Wichita, Hillsboro is an easy and convenient trip for a memorable experience.
Travel north on Interstate 135 to Newton. Take exit 33 (Emporia, Peabody) travel East 9 ½ miles (through Walton) until you see a large blue Hillsboro billboard on your left. Turn left (North) and travel 13 miles to Hillsboro.
Take the Highway 50 exit and travel West. Take the Highway 150 exit West near Elmdale and continue straight onto Highway 56. Turn left (South) at Ash Street (Midway Motors).
Travel K-15 (Eisenhower Memorial Highway) South through Durham, KS until highway intercepts Highway 56. Turn East and continue until you reach Ash Street (Midway Motors). Turn right (South) into town.
Take the Highway 56 exit and travel East 25 miles until you reach Ash Street (Midway Motors). Turn right (South) into town.
